Building a new home is the realisation of all your hard work, the physical embodiment of the dreams and aspirations that you’ve had, that have finally become a reality. Therefore, we aim to make the entire process an easy and pain free process, so that this experience is something you’ll remember fondly while you enjoy your beautiful new home.
Our design process is entirely in-house, all you need to bring with you is some inspiration, and where you want to end up. We’ll listen to all your ideas, and understand and consider them, before giving you a home that you’ll love, and we’d be honoured to create for you.
THE PROCESS
When you build a custom home, or want to add or change something about an older home, it’s a huge commitment. But choosing to go through EDC BUILD won’t be a huge headache.
The entire process, from beginning to end, will be a seamless, transparent journey, that will allow you to be as involved, or uninvolved, as you want, and will see you end up with a home you love.
1. Pre-design: Assistance
The first step will see the team at Prostyle Builders lend you our expertise, to ensure that you understand the process perfectly, or any other assistance you may need from us. You can organise to meet with an architect to discuss design options, or any other building or design issues you need advice on before starting your project. We’re with you from the very beginning, and we’ll walk by your side to offer advice and support whenever you may need it.
2. Pre-design: Analysis
First, we’ll need to assess the council development plan, with a qualified architect assessing the plan and explaining any regulations, and will discuss with you how these could impact your proposal. Next, we’ll organise a site visit, so that we can go in with as many facts as possible. We’ll give you feedback and advice on as many aspects of the process as we can, like optimum orientation, clearing existing vegetation, and the impact of, or upon, any neighbouring properties.
3. Budget and wish list
The budget is one of the most important parts of this process. We need to make sure that we have a thorough understanding of how much you’re willing to spend on this project, to ensure that there are no nasty surprises at the end. Once we’ve finalised the budget, we’ll get started on your wish list. These are the requirements for your home; the things that have to be included in the home, the things at the top of the list if budget
4. Design
Once you’ve told us everything you’d like, and we know your budget, we’ll get to work designing. We take all this into consideration when designing your home, so that we can meet all your requirements. A sketch of the floor plans will be developed, to show you the layout of your future home.
5. Approvals
Once the design and proposal is finalised, Prostyle Builders will obtain all the necessary approvals so that building can commence.
6. Detailed design / selections
Now we’re at the fun part. You get to choose all the finishes and design elements that’ll be what you see. Granite or marble countertops? Black or white cabinets? The choice is yours, and we’ll get it done!
7. Construction begins
A qualified project manager and site supervisor oversee the entire construction process, and we’ll keep you updated so you stay informed and in the loop, and you’ll always know at what stage your new home is at.
8. Hand over
The end of all our hard work and dedication is here. Your brand new home is ready! Before we hand you the keys, you’ll be given a complete walk through of the home with the project manager or site supervisor. All aspects of the home are explained, and we’ll answer any questions you may have about the home, or the building process.
